Rules

Topless ranks any public link by exactly one signal: how much its owner paid to be there. No algorithm, no subscription, no clock running out. Be the top. Or stay topless.

Rank

• Your position is set by your total confirmed bid — highest total, highest rank.
• If two listings share a total, the one that's been on the board longer keeps the higher spot.
• The board opens at 10 spots and grows to 50 as more listings compete for room.

Bidding

• Minimum bid is $1, and every bid is a whole US dollar — no cents.
• Submitting the same link again doesn't create a second listing — it raises the one you already have. You're charged only the difference between your old total and your new one, and that difference has to be at least $1.
• Tracking parameters in a URL — utm codes, referral tags, anything after the ? — are stripped before Topless checks whether a link is already listed.

When a bid takes effect

• Nothing on the board moves until Stripe sends a signed webhook confirming the charge went through. A pending payment changes nothing.
• Occasionally two people race for the same spot. If your payment targeted a position someone else's confirmed payment already claimed first, Topless refunds you automatically — you're never charged for a rank you didn't get.
• Once confirmed, a position is yours for good. It doesn't expire, it doesn't decay, and it doesn't need renewing. You stay put until someone bids higher or your listing gets pulled for breaking these rules.

What you can list

• Any public page you own or have permission to promote — a store, a profile, a portfolio, a project. If you can point people at it, you can list it.
• You have to be 18 or older to submit a listing, full stop.
• Adult content is welcome if everyone shown is a consenting adult. That's not optional: anything involving a minor, coercion, trafficking, exploitation, or material posted without the subject's consent gets pulled on sight and reported where required.
• Off the board entirely: impersonating someone else, anything illegal, hateful content, malware, links that redirect somewhere other than what they claim, and link shorteners — Topless needs to see where a link actually goes.

Clicks

Every click out from the leaderboard opens the destination in a new tab, tagged so the destination site can see the traffic came from Topless.

Enforcement

Moderators can hide a listing that breaks these rules at any time and, where appropriate, refund the payment behind it. Breaking the rules doesn't earn your spot back.
